Overview
Period Tracker helps you log and understand your cycle privately. We are committed to protecting your personal and health-related information. By default, your data is stored locally on your device and only syncs if you opt in.
Data We Collect
- Email address (optional): used only if you enable cloud backup or sync.
- Anonymous analytics (optional): limited crash and performance signals to improve stability. You can disable this in Settings.
- Health & cycle data (local-first): period start/end, symptoms (e.g., cramps, mood), notes, predictions & reminders, app settings. These remain on your device unless you opt in to sync.
How We Use Data
- Provide core features like logging, predictions, and reminders.
- Improve app reliability and user experience.
- Sync your data across devices if you choose to sign in.
We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers.
Sharing
We may use trusted service providers (e.g., crash reporting or cloud storage) to operate and improve the app. These providers can only process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality obligations and cannot use it for their own purposes.
Data Retention
We retain data only as long as needed for the purposes above. Local data stays on your device until you delete it. If you use sync, you can request deletion of any cloud-stored data at any time.
Your Rights
Depending on your region, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us via the email below.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures—such as encryption in transit and at rest for synced data—to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we continuously improve our safeguards.
Children
Period Tracker is intended for users aged 13 and older (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under that age.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in-app.
